Yoga Therapy
Yoga is the Vedic Science of union with self, consciousness, and prana (source energy). It is a vital part of spirituality and a representation of how the physical realm merges with higher states of consciousness through breath and bodily alignment.
Beyond a fitness craze, yoga has proven to help with a numerous ailments including arthritis, indigestion, chronic fatigue, inflammation, stress, diabetes, high blood pressure and more. Did you know that every yoga asana (pose) is designed to help the body naturally eliminate toxicity and waste? It also improves posture, flexibility, oxygenation of the organs, circulation, balance and gross motor skills.
Working together with a certified yoga therapist in a private setting, we will create a yoga regimen designed to support your lifestyle, health goals, and physical capabilities.
Each private therapy session will include the following components:

Pranayama (breath work)

Demonstration and explanation of each asana (pose/posture) and their related benefits and purpose

Modifications and use of props (straps, bolsters, chairs, etc.) if necessary

1:1 support, alignment and correction to ensure asanas are practiced properly

What to Expect During Your Visit ...
Your session will take place in a private treatment room in our wellness center where you and a Registered Yoga Therapist will have access to sustainably sourced yoga equipment such as mats, bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks. Depending on your constitution and goals, we may utilize aromatherapy and music during the session. Your therapist will demonstrate and guide you into poses, and will then provide instruction and/or light hands-on support when necessary so you can fully relax into the pose.
We recommend you bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable, yoga-appropriate clothing. Each session will include savasana and a period of silent integration. Namaste.

If you are looking for a community of yogis, try one of our open group classes. We offer several throughout the week at various locations in Grand County, Colorado. Visitors to the area are welcome!
